We Quietly Resist

When we slow down.

When we choose pre-loved, when we mend or upcycle,
when we look back before moving forward,
when we honour what came before us and allow it to shape what comes next.

A home is not a project to be completed.

It is life unfolding,
gathering memory as it carries us through different seasons,
shaped quietly by the rituals within.

The book kept since childhood,
the painting found on a rainy afternoon,
the candle lit as dusk settles in,
the chipped mug you could never part with.

These are traces of a life lived with intention,
quiet witnesses to our becoming,
holding the memories, people and places that shaped us.

This is heritage.

So slow down.

A meaningful home, like life itself, is not meant to be finished.

It is built slowly, little by little,
just as it always has been.
